Amber and Alex were hoping for a good weather and big party on their wedding day and found the perfect venue in Braxted Park. The magnificent wedding venue in Essex can cater for both indoor and outdoor weddings, meaning the happy couple could tie the knot al fresco if they got the sunshine they wished for, and the impressive Pavilion is more than capable of hosting the grandest parties.
"We knew we wanted to look at Braxted Park as an option for our wedding venue because Amber had previously attended a wedding there when she was younger and could remember it being an amazing venue. We also knew we wanted to get married outside if we could and, having looked at Braxted and another venue, our choice was made easy. The grounds at Braxted were beautiful, it could comfortably fit our huge guest list in, and they had an equally beautiful Orangery overlooking the grounds in case the weather took a turn for the worse." - Alex
The couple took to Pinterest to find inspiration for their wedding decorations and added bunting, wooden signs and plenty of beautiful flowers to the venue to make it their own. They opted for a pretty colour scheme of pastel pink, cream and navy which worked wonderfully on their summer wedding date and set the scene for a relaxing day.
"We wanted all our guests to relax and have a good time. We didn't want it to be overly formal therefore once the ceremony was done we wanted the drinks to flow and the party atmosphere to kick in. We were lucky enough to have the majority of our family and friends there, and we wanted everyone to enjoy a big party together and celebrate our day." - Amber
Alex and Amber both looked incredible on their wedding day, fitting the style of the venue perfectly. Amber had her heart set on a certain fit since she started planning the wedding a found a wonderful dress which ticked all the boxes.
"My dress was by David Tutera for Mon Cheri and it was called ‘Seraphina'. I loved how it came in ivory and gardenia which suited my skin colour perfectly. It was the shape I'd been pinning and had in mind as soon as I bought my first wedding magazine. It had a bit of sparkle (which is a must for me) and lace, and a beautiful illusion neckline that I absolutely loved!" - Amber
Amber paired her dress with sparkling rose gold Jimmy Choo shoes and stunning rose gold jewellery to complete the look.
Alex looked the part too in a navy three-piece suit with tan brogues, blue bow tie and Amber's Grandad's watch to wear in his memory.
Amber and Alex made full use of everything that Braxted Park had to offer and had an incredible day celebrating in style. Amber started her day by getting ready in the Bride's Changing Room while their nearest and dearest checked into the ample onsite accommodation. The couple were lucky with the weather and exchanged their vows in the Lower Knott Garden while their guests looked on from the lawns.
They carried on with the summer feel to their day with a drinks reception that including Pimm's and Prosecco, which they enjoyed with delightful canapés in the picturesque Walled Garden. The wedding party then headed into the Pavilion to feast on a mouth-watering wedding breakfast provided by expert caterers, Milsom Catering. They rounded off the celebrations with plenty of dancing to amazing live music and an incredible barbecue, before spending the night in the luxurious Garden Cottage.

Alex and Amber's special day went off without a hitch, and there were a couple of moments which will live long in the memory.

"Another moment that was very special to us was our first look and we are so glad we got that moment to ourselves, it made us more excited to get down the aisle!" – Amber
