Your wedding day starts here. Our Braxted Park Changing Room is a secluded, self-contained courtyard retreat where you can get ready with your closest friends in complete luxury. With a private bathroom, hair and make-up stations and plenty of natural light, you’ll have everything you need to prepare for your unforgettable day.
If your partner is looking for a separate space to get ready in, we also have a private space in The Garden Cottage available before your ceremony.
Nestled within the tranquil grounds of Braxted Park Estate sits The Garden Cottage, our luxuriously romantic hideaway cottage.
Newly renovated, The Garden Cottage offers newlyweds a private haven to enjoy at the end of an unforgettable day without having to venture outside of Braxted Park’s grounds. With breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, a showstopping four-poster bed and a stunning ensuite bathroom complete with double showers, you can indulge in a true retreat from the world together.
On the morning of your wedding, The Garden Cottage can be used as a secondary dressing room. Away from the Honeymoon Suite, you’ll find a dressing room with ample space for hanging suits and making last-minute preparations. There’s also a study, which makes an ideal spot for final tweaks to wedding speeches.

Your family and friends will love our immaculate guest accommodation, designed by the team from Soho House. The converted stable block offers state-of-the-art facilities expertly designed to provide a luxurious night’s sleep. With space for families and one completely accessible room, we’ve thought of everyone.
Although secluded, Braxted Park is one of Essex’s best placed wedding venues. In Colchester and just a short drive away, there is variety of excellent hotels and B&Bs to suit all budgets.
We can also recommend places to stay in nearby Witham and the surrounding towns including Maldon, Braintree and Dedham.
